The Shadow and Fury trailer for World of Warcraft – The War Within is my first collaboration with Blizzard Entertainment, as well as the first we did at NICE! for the current retail version of WoW. For me, working on this project was not only a fascinating look behind the scenes of this legendary game studio, but also an experiment in a completely new style of storytelling.
Together with our team, we had to precisely match the strictly defined in-game visual style of WoW. A big part of that success is no doubt thanks to Blizzard legend Chris Metzen—Creative Director and the spiritual father of WoW—who wrote the script.Special thanks go to the team that worked with me on the trailer:
